Hi Benjamin, Thank you for contacting Robinhood Support today. It will be a pleasure assisting you. My name is Bradley with the Equities team. Thanks for your patience while I looked into this further. I do see your data deletion request on our end and can confirm it’s currently in progress. Once you’ve submitted a data deletion request, we’ll respond within 45 days of your initial request. You can check the status of your request at any time in your Robinhood account: Select the Account tab in the bottom right corner of the app Select the Menu icon (3 horizontal lines) Select Security and privacy Select Manage your data Select Request data deletion Your request progress will display on the “We’re working on your request” screen You’ll receive an email once your data deletion request has been completed also. You should have also received an email when you first submitted your data deletion request. In that email, you’ll see a confirmation of your request along with a link to our Privacy Policy, which goes into more detail about how we handle personal information and what gets deleted. To help clarify your question about “essential data”: when you submit a data deletion request, we delete certain non‑essential data, like marketing interactions (for example, device identifiers used for marketing and ad campaign interactions) and some data that’s only associated with other users, such as when someone else has you in their contacts. However, as a regulated financial institution we’re required by law to keep some information, even if you never funded the account, never traded, and never received tax documents. This “essential” data can include identifying information and other records we need to satisfy our legal, regulatory, anti‑fraud, and record‑keeping obligations. Because of those requirements, we’re not able to delete all personal information or completely erase the existence of the account, and some details (like certain identity and account records) must be retained even after a data deletion request is completed. I absolutely understand why you’d want everything removed, and I know it can be confusing when there haven’t been any transactions or money added. The key distinction here is that while we honor your deletion request by removing non‑essential data, we still have to retain any information that isn’t legally eligible for deletion. We keep a record of your request itself to show that we’ve responded and acted in line with those laws. If you’d like to dig into the details of what we delete versus what may be retained, you can also review our Managing your personal data Help Center article here: https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/managing-your-personal-data/ and our full Privacy Policy here: https://robinhood.com/l/privacy. Please feel free to reply back to this email if you have any questions. I’d be happy to assist! Thank you for being the best part of Robinhood and have a good rest of your day! Sincerely, ██████
